Internal Quality Assurance Cell  IQAC 

DHSK Commerce College, Dibrugarh has been a pioneer institution imparting commerce education since more than five decades of its existence. The college strives to impart knowledge in the field of commerce so that students can pursue careers such as that of Chartered Accountant, Company secretary, banking or run or set up their own intuition.

With expansion of Higher Education of India in terms of size of the network and enrolment therein, problems like communication gap between different stake holders, lack of support services to the students and promotion of research activities, noon availability of infrastructure and learning resources developed over the years. To consider these problems and other related issues, National Action Plan of NAAC suggested that every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post accreditation quality sustenance measure. 

According to the suggestion of NAAC, DHSK Commerce College established its IQAC and framed a long term plan for the development of our institution, for each academic year prepared a Plan of Action from 2004 onwards and took measures to implement these in order to sustain and enhance quality. Year wise Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) have been prepared and submitted to the NAAC. The IQAC is presently actively engaged in preparation of SSR to be submitted to NAAC

IQAC has concentrated on the collection of students Feed Back as a main tool of development and sustenance program of the Institution. Accordingly IQAC of our institution have identified some best practices such as Performance Appraisal of Teachers, Students’ Feed Back, Alumni Association etc. The college has been selected as study centre for distance learning by Distance Education, Dibrugarh University and Krishna Kanta State Open University where large numbers of students have been enrolled. 
Regular seminars and workshops with topics of interdisciplinary nature have been organized with various departments working in collaboration. Students have been encouraged to prepare and present projects and papers. The IQAC also organized a national level workshop on Financial Planning for Women recently.

Health campus have been organized in the college campus for students and the NSS unit of the college have organized number of awareness programs. Two teachers have been emplaned as resource person for financial education program by Securities and Exchange Board of India and a number of workshops have been organized among various target groups in Dibrugarh districts.
