Admission Procedure

  •  The College offers B.Com Course in both Morning Shift (only in Specialty Courses) and Day Shift (both in Specialty and General Courses) and H.S. Course only in the Day Shift. However, a student can apply for admission in any one of the Shifts only (either Morning or Day but not both). Students Appling for both the Shifts in a single or separate Application Forms will loose their right to opt for a particular Shift later and the Shift selection in such cases shall be the discretion of the Admission Committee.

  • Candidates seeking admission to the College are to apply in the prescribed ‘Admission Form’,  which can be procured along with the Prospectus from the office of the College on cash payment of Rs. 250/- only. Duly completed Application Form must be accompanied by the following documents.


          i)Attested copy(ies) of the Mark Sheet(s) of last examination(s) passed.

          ii)Attested copy of the Pass Certificate and Character Certificate from the school/college                          last   attended.

          iii)Attested copy of the Age-proof Certificate.

          iv)Attested copy of Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority wherever applicable.

          v)Two recent passport size photographs.

          vi)Court Affidavit in case of any loss or gap in academic year.

          vii)Candidates seeking admission under Sports/NCC/Scouts & Guides/Cultural/PH quota                         must submit relevent documents.

          viii)Any other relevant documents.

           Incomplete Application Forms will be summarily rejected.

  • The Admission Committee scrutinizes all the Admission Forms submitted by the candidates and prepares the list of selected candidates for admission strictly on the basis of merit. The Admission Committee also follows reservation rules as per Government norms. Waiting lists are also prepared and a vacant seat, if any, is filled in from the candidates in that list on the same day, i.e., on the day ofAdmission.

  • The selected candidates have to be present personally on the day of Interview with all the relevant documents in Original for verification along with the counterfoil of the Application Form. A selected candidate must pay the Admission Fee on the day oflnterview &Admission into the Bank:Account of the College, failing which his/her seat shall stand forfeited.

  • Direct Admission :

          i)Candidates securing 70% or more marks in the H.S. Examination can get direct admission                in the B.Com First Semester, Day Shift;

         ii) Candidates securing 60% or more marks in the H.S. Examination can get direct admission                in the B.Com First Semester, Morning Shift and

         iii) Candidates securing 60% or more marks in the H.S.L.C. Examination can get direct                                admission in the H.S. 1styear class.

  • As the number of seats for direct admission are limited, admission will be given on the 'First come, first served (FCFS)' basis.

  • The date and time of direct admission will be notified after the declaration of the results by SEBA/ H.S. Council, Assam.

  • Candidates seeking direct admission will have to come personally on the specified date and time with duly completed Application Form accompanied by attested copies of all the relevant Pass Certificate( s), Mark Sheet(s) and other document(s) alongwith the Original copies of the same for verification. A candidate will have to deposit the requisite Admission and other fees immediately after getting a seat in the B.Com. !H.S. course through the 'Direct Admission' process.

  • No student can claim admission in B. Com First Semester class on the ground of his/her being a student ofthis college in the H.S. Course.

  • Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.

  • The college offers Speciality Courses in  Accounting & Finance, Marketing, Banking & Insurance, Human Resource Management and International Business at the Degree Level in the Day Shift. In the Morning Shift, only Speciality Courses are available in the Accounting & Finance and Marketing. As the number of seats in the Speciality Courses in different subjects is limited, the Degree students desirous of opting for Speciality Course in Day Shift shall have to indicate their order of preferences for the five Speciality Courses. The cut off marks required for applying in the Speciality Course is 50% in the H.S. Examination . 


The candidates applying for admission in the Morning Shift shall have to secure at the least 50% marks in the H.S. Examination and indicate their order of preference for both the Speciality Courses (i.e.Accounting & Finance and Marketing) available in the Morning Shift.
